Both outdoor units share R32 refrigerant, the conventional 24 VAC thermostat, factory-installed Wi-Fi and the 12-year warranty, and each pairs with two air handlers. The Gree Flex heat pump adapts to the extreme conditions of our Canadian climate. Especially during very cold periods, it offers ultimate comfort down to temperatures as freezing as -30°C, without compromising on performance. Gree equips its outdoor units with a base with a heating element to allow efficient defrosting and to ensure full efficiency of the unit when it is very cold.

Gree Inverter Technology
Variable speed compressor
Most central heat pumps operate at a fixed speed (1-stage compressor), which causes frequent stops and starts, which results in unnecessary energy expenditure. The Inverter technology of Gree central heat pumps allows you to reach the desired room temperature more quickly while reducing your energy consumption. It allows maintaining an adequate set point and stands out for its very low compressor energy consumption. Inverter technology also ensures quieter operation by reducing compressor vibration and noise.

The more the system heats in extreme cold, the higher the rebate. The amount depends on the combination of outdoor unit and air handler, certified under an AHRI number: the amounts below are those of the combinations in the brochure, with the Gree air handler of the same capacity; your advisor confirms the amount for your installation.

Amounts from Hydro-Québec’s list of eligible heat pumps, for an installation on October 12, 2026, verified by AHRI number. The amount is set according to the installation date; a 5 % bonus applies when two or more LogisVert measures are carried out. The installation must be done by a company holding the appropriate RBQ licence.
Gree’s standard warranty is 10 years, and 2 years are added when the unit is registered with its proof of installation: 12 years in all. Labour is guaranteed for 10 years.

What do SEER2, HSPF2 and COP mean?
SEER2 measures a heat pump’s seasonal efficiency in cooling, and HSPF2 its efficiency in heating. The higher these numbers, the less electricity the unit uses for the same comfort. Certified by ENERGY STAR, the Flexx reaches 18 to 19 SEER2 and 10 to 10 HSPF2. The COP at −15 °C, measured by ENERGY STAR, tells how many units of heat the unit produces in extreme cold for each unit of electricity: from 2.00 to 2.10 for the Gree central range. At 2, it delivers twice as much heat as an electric baseboard for the same electricity.
How do I maintain a Gree Flexx central heat pump?
