Tasks

The tinsmith carries out maintenance work, replaces filters, installs ventilation ducts, performs load calculations, reads plans and specifications, and designs and fabricates ventilation ducts.

They start up and install air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment. They must also be able to diagnose and fix problems during a service call, and carry out the complete assembly of a ventilation installation.

They keep smiling at all times and provide exceptional service to all our customers, current and future.

Areas of competence

Be able to install the following units:

• Air conditioner (wall-mounted and central)
• Heat pump (wall-mounted and central)
• Electric furnace
• Rooftop unit

Main skills

• Master and interpret ventilation diagrams.
• Know ventilation duct installation components inside out.
• Connect ducts to the installation components and equipment.
• Diagnose and fix problems.
• Master the thermodynamic issues specific to refrigeration installations.
• Have an aptitude for manual work (brazing, various assemblies, plumbing, etc.).
• Adjust electrical and electronic devices and refrigeration components to optimize operation.
• Fill out technical intervention sheets and produce detailed reports.
