Several drainage holes

Freezing of water in the outdoor unit is often the cause of malfunctions in winter. To avoid such a situation, SHARP has improved the drainage system by providing the outdoor unit’s condensation tank with several drainage holes. Plugs to cover these holes are also included with the unit when it is used in a warmer climate where water is drained off through a drainage pipe

Smart defroster

When the heat exchanger is used to defrost the appliance, hot gas is supplied to the condensate pan of the heat exchanger. This prevents freezing of the drainage water and the water is easily evacuated through the drainage holes in the condensation tank.

Anti-corrosion treatment

A special anti-corrosion coating is applied to the heat exchanger, the control panel and the other essential components of the outdoor unit, in order to extend the life of the product.
